Sarah is a veterinarian who lives in Waccabuc with her husband, two daughters and assorted menagerie of pets. She loves slides, swing sets, and expensive playground surfaces. Her biggest dream for this park is: To watch this community come together to build an exciting and safe playground to be enjoyed by all.

Valerie Cancro

Project Manager and President

Valerie holds a Masters of Professional Studies (MPS) in Childhood and Special Education and has worked with special needs children for over 15 years. She lives in South Salem with her husband and two children. Valerie also is the MPES parent representative for SEPTO. She loves friendship swings, sandboxes, and zip lines. Her biggest dream for this park is: To create a fun space for our community to experience top-quality playground equipment in an environment that blends with nature’s beauty.

Ingrid Ramos

Ingrid is the founder of a marketing technology agency. She started her career in advertising, and most recently worked in education software. Ingrid’s current passion is nature-based education in early childhood. After years in the city, she moved to Katonah with her husband and 4 year old. She loves tire swings, climbing ropes, and nature trails. Her biggest dream for this park: to create spaces where kids can work things out for themselves.

Dina Carelli

Director of Fundraising

Dina has worked in the field of nonprofit fundraising for over fifteen years specializing in events and individual giving. Since leaving her full time position at the Girl Scouts of Greater New York in 2016 to start her family, she has worked as a consultant for a number of nonprofits. Dina has lived in South Salem with her family for five years. Her family loves hiking, gardening, and taking care of their 10 chickens. Her biggest dream for this park: to create a fun and inclusive gathering place for children of all ages and abilities.

 

Errol Antzis

 Errol and his family moved to Lewisboro nearly six years ago, and are very frequent visitors to the Park. Errol is an investment banker and M.I.T. grad, and has volunteered for numerous local community causes, ranging from managing the Square 1 Art fundraiser at Increase Miller for the past five years, to being a Board member of the Waccabuc Landowners Council, in charge of membership and also maintaining all of the local historic signs. Errol and his family look forward to an upgraded park that is well suited for children of all ages and abilities. 


Josephine Berisha


Director of Outreach/Volunteers

Josephine has lived in South Salem for 12 years. She lives here with her husband and four children. She is an active member of JJHS PTO and a Girl Scouts troop leader. Her daughters, Elizabeta a sophomore in college and Nikoleta a junior at John Jay high school, have devoted numerous hours volunteering for the Lewisboro Playground Project. They hope to help make an impact to help build a playground that ensures that all kids have an inviting and enjoyable playground experience.

Kristen Payne

Social Media Director/Fundraising

Kristen has lived in Cross River with her family since summer of 2018. Prior to moving here, she lived in NYC working first as a publicist and then as a recruiter, her career spanning over 15 years between the two. Currently she is a full time mom with a little recruitment consulting sprinkled in. Kristen is passionate about bettering our town playground for everyone to enjoy, and is involved with fundraising, and event planning and execution. She also handles the project’s social media pages.


 

Nicholas Lung-Bugenski

Assistant Coordinator

Nic and his wife moved from Long Island City where he was the Commodore of the Long Island City Community Boathouse. In 2014, they settled in Lewisboro Hamlet to raise their two young daughters. As a UFT, high school teacher in NYC, Nic has worked in numerous schools, but has been appointed at Bayside High School in Bayside, Queens for the last five years. Never moving completely away from the classroom, he teaches United States History, as well as working as a Dean of students where he ensures all 3,000+ of his students feels safe and supported. Nic is a “Special Assistant Coordinator” helping work with everything and everyone to assure our shared vision to build this amazing Central Park playground is a reality that serves to better our Town for everyone and enable then play of all children for a better future for all. His special focus and responsibility is that of our Annual Octoberfest 🍺beverage coordination. Nic is also a member of the Lewisboro Lions Club and serves as a special liaison between our groups as well.
